It’s an exciting
day here at Shelfari. The rain has stopped, the birds are chirping and the
biggest news of all – we are being acquired by Amazon.com.
As many of you may
already know, Amazon has been a long supporter of Shelfari. They’ve worked
closely with us as we introduced readers, like you, to our global community of
book lovers. They’ve been there each step of the way as we brought forth new
features, like the cool Facebook application and our virtual bookshelf. And now
Shelfari and Amazon will work hand in hand to continue to grow our dynamic
community and create innovative new tools around the books you love.
We’ve got some big
plans ahead. With more resources and Amazon’s expertise in building a platform
where people come to share ideas, there are a lot of new opportunities in the
future that will benefit each of you. In the meantime, you’ll continue to have
access to the great community and tools that you’ve always known and used on
the site.

I am very angry. I joined shelfari with great expectation. However, I just realized they contacted my e-mail contacts that are on my list at hotmail. Many of those people are business contacts, and many are friends that I did not want contacted about shelfari. This is an invasion of my privcy. I do not want anyone contacted on my address-book.
I cannot figure out how to stop this from happening. I want an immediate solution. Many people are telling me to stop annoying them and that I have some nerve giving their e-mail to you(which I did not).
Please give me instruction on how to delete my e-mail address-book from your system.

@Marilyn--Sorry to hear you had a negative experience with our invitations. We have disabled any invitations queued from your account. Also, I've responded to your email with additional instructions.
We cannot access your email contacts or send them invitations unless you upload them and click to send invites. We do not store your contacts.
